UWE stands for University of the West of England
with Bower Ashton campus being the site for the School of Creative Arts (previously known as Art, Media and Design).
The campus is on the edge of Bower Ashton accessed via Kennel Lodge Road see the maps and directions page.
With many buildings on the Kennel Lodge Road side overlooking the red deer enclosure of Ashton Court Estate.
Local bus services pick up/drop off from Bower Ashton roundabout at the end of Clanage Road and at Ashton Bridge on Ashton Road, thats just after the bridge crossing over the railway line (Ashton Bridge) at the end of Winterstoke Road. Local buses run from/to Portishead, Nailsea, Weston Super Mare, and Clevedon. They give access to Bristol City Centre and the central bus station via Hotwells. There is a bus shuttle service the Ulink with the U1 service running from the UWE Bower Ashton campus to the Frenchay campus, via Coronation Road (Asda) and Temple Meads.
