Following the June 2008 open meeting at the Bedminster Cricket Club on Clanage Road, a new Bower Ashton Residents Association (BARA) committee was formed to represent our Bower Ashton community.

Its been a busy year since then and many changes seem likely in the future too for our small community. To keep in touch see these notes on our July 2009 AGM meeting, the news and comments pages.

If you haven't joined yet, all residents, organisations or businesses with a Bower Ashton address are invited to join in and receive information (its free). We would like to receive everyones in-put and opinions and keep you posted.

The BARA committee meets roughly every two months so, if you have a little time to help and want a voice in what is happening we welcome new committee members in all areas. Especially in unrepresentated streets, like Blackmoors Lane, Bower Ashton Terrace, Courtlands Lane and Clanage Road.

We currently accept members from:

  • Blackmoors Lane
  • Bower Ashton Terrace
  • Clanage Road, including The Stone Yard
  • Courtlands Lane
  • Kennel Lodge Road
  • Parklands Road
  • Rownham Close

Your association's objectives are:

  • To promote the interests of the people living in Bower Ashton
  • To identify local issues and seek solutions
  • To safeguard the conservation area status
  • To improve and protect the living environment for everyone in our community

Currently (August 2009), about 58% of all households in Bower Ashton have joined the association, so thank you for your support.
