Colliters Brook: from just upstream of Ashton Vale. Photo taken on 2nd of July 2006 on the walk organised by the Bristol Living Rivers Project. From here Colliters Brook runs through the residential part of Ashton Vale, (see the Ashton Vale Heritage website) and then the trading/industrial estates of Ashton Vale.

Collitors Brook April 2009 Above Collitors Brook on a warm spring day in April 2009, despite the presence of the nearby trading estate this is quiet a pleasant country walk, You can get to it from the Winterstoke Road Bristol City Football Club roundabout, walk up the minor road (Barton Close) opposite the football club. Go to the end of the road passing a Ford showroom on your left, then use the footpath to cross the railway line and follow Collitors Brook upstream.

Downstream from here the brook runs underground beneath the Portbury rail line and Winterstoke Road. Reappearing along the edge of Bristol City Football Club ground in Ashton Gate, it then goes underground again beneath Ashton Road and Greville Smyth park before finally joining the new cut of the River Avon.
